LYNK & CO 08 ACHIEVES GUINNESS WORLD RECORD BY REACHING 293 KM IN 100% ELECTRIC MODE

January 2026–Lynk & Co has set a new Guinness World Records™ title with the Lynk & Co 08, achieving 293 kilometres in fully electric driving mode, the longest distance recorded by a plug-in hybrid SUV.

This achievement positions the Lynk & Co 08 as the PHEV SUV with the longest electric-only range in the world, demonstrating the real-world capability of the brand’s plugin hybrid technology.

With up to 200km of electric range (WLTP), the Lynk & Co 08 enables drivers to complete several days of everyday travel on electric power alone, significantly reducing fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions while retaining the flexibility of a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

Thanks to this combination of innovation and design, the Lynk & Co 08 achieved 293 km in 100% electric mode, an unprecedented result for a plug-in hybrid vehicle. 

Certified under real world conditions 

The Guinness World Records™ approved test was conducted at Centro Dinámico Pegaso racetrack in Toluca, Mexico; following a strict verification protocol. The evaluation involved telemetry specialists, responsible for performance and mileage analysis; a certified driver who drove the vehicle for more than six hours at an average speed of 50 to 60 km/h; civil engineers tasked with measuring the physical and technical parameters of the track; and mechanical engineers who inspected the vehicle before and after the test to ensure its mechanical integrity. 

The vehicle was driven continuously for more than six hours at average speeds between 50 and 60 km/h, confirming that the achieved range reflects realistic driving conditions rather than laboratory testing. 

In addition to its record setting efficiency, the Lynk & Co 08 combines a premium interior, forward looking design and advanced digital features. The powertrain pairs a 1.5litre engine with a high performance electric motor, delivering a combined output of 346 hp. 

Drivers can choose between Pure, Hybrid and Power driving modes, all automatically managed by the EMP system to adapt performance and efficiency to different driving scenarios. 

With this achievement, the Lynk & Co 08 sets a new reference point for what plugin hybrid SUVs can deliver in real world electric driving.
